Starts off like Cream's White Room.
Bass needs definition - crank it a little a 3k.
Interesting reading too much cymbal crashing though.

Ends like Neil Young. Cybals are a little strident. But I actually like this.

All along the watchtower, into Stairway, into chaos...

I'm not gonna' lie, this recording's got a lot of problems, but I gotta' say, I liked this more than most stuff I download online. Full of heart, warts and all.

Thanks guys. I got "too loud" from some of my friends.

I've got a lot to learn about home recording! Lol. Thanks for the compliments/advice

I picked up on the Cream vibe too. It's a cool version and has a real feel to it, not plasticy cookie cutter stuff. Performance wise I hear some issues with the dynamics and timing but that stuff could be retracked. Are you done with it or are you going to rework any of it?

Well I use Adobe Audition 2.0 and it saves all the session files as gigantic .wav files, so one session sometimes takes up as much as 1 Gig on my PC. Usualy I save the final copy, ask friends and family how it sounds, and make sure i'm happy, then close it. So I don't have the files still. I wish I knew how to save everything as an mp3, or make the .wavs smaller

I could always redo it though, I had alot of fun on this one.

Have you tried backing up to dvd? Are you recording at 24 bit 44.1k hz?

I have no clue. A friend set Audition up on my system and I just open and record :o lol

I am all that is newb

You lucky bastard. You mean I had to learn all this stuff and you just....... :D

Lol but I bet your recordings sound a hell of alot better than mine. I've had maybe 2 high-quality recordings in my 100-some songs I've recorded. I've gotta get lucky lol. I'd rather know what everything does and work hard at it, believe me.

I's just pullin your leg. There's much more to learn than the software side. On file size: the sample rate greatly effects the size of your wav files. If it's set high you could be eating up a lot of hard drive space. I'd have a look around in Audition for the default project bit depth and sample rate.

My recordings are usually kind of trashy actually but I like them that way, most of the time. :D
