Alison Krauss microphone

That's definitely a photo-shopped photo shoot. The fog is photo shopped in there. And who would dress like that to go to record in a studio for 18 hours???

But I'm betting the mic is old and real and is now used as a stage prop.

And not used on her latest album.

When you google search, don't click on the links, click on "images" underneath the search bar.

He describes the larger mic as being line-level so I wasn't too far off!

And there is fog at the end of the video, must be the mic.
 
Thanks for clearing this up. I've had a look at the info about that mic. I have to say that I don't like the sound of it as much as with the previous mic(s) she used. Myabe there is something wrong with my ears but there is a certain shrillness I think.
