Alice In Chains - Scalpel - Cover

Hi all,

I normally do not do cover stuff as I like to focus on writing original songs and you are always compared with the original. In preparation for a big mixing and mastering job for our band's first EP, I decided to do a cover of a song from my favourite band AIC as a test to see how close I could make a production to the original with limited effort. And it was also fun!

It was an interesting exercise mixing a live one-take acoustic guitar and lead vocal track with the rest of the instruments.

Not familiar with this one, but it does does sound like an AIC tune. I actually found the video a bit distracting as the guitar strums don't seem to line up with the music, so I just listened. I think you did a good job on the performances and the mix sounds great on heaphones. Vocal and backing vox are real good. Nice job
