I heard you can use an Alesis XT to get some extra I/O channels through the adat/lightpipe port on my M-Audio 1814 interface. So I found an old XT and plugged everything together, but can't seem to make it work.
I can get signal to the ADAT through the analog inputs or through the digital inputs, but I can't seem to get the signal to "echo" back out so I can use it on the 1814.
Anybody out there ever try this and can maybe share some light on what I might be doing wrong?
