Alesis Studio 32 and Aux returns - all $@%$ up

Anyone else besides me notice that the Aux. Send/return setup on the Studio 32 is kinda whaco? The sends are mono, but the returns are Stereo.

I was trying to put a strange effect on a guitar that I have panned hard left, but I can't get the Aux returns to do anything but go hard center. So while my part is in the left headphone, the delay/swell is in the center.

Any suggestions? I could run the outputs from the reverb into two other channels (like 9/10) and then pan those, but it seems kind of stupid to have the Aux. returns and then not be able to control them.

I have the same mixer and also had the same problem
as you. What I do now (for ex.) My keyboard goes in 9/10;
The outputs of my 'Verb box goes in the stereo returns while
I use Aux 3&4 sends in a stereo configuration into the 'Verb's L/R inputs,therefore when I pan hard left or right and can get the "wet" signal into either the left or right of the stereo spectrum instead of center.
