Yes, Ive got one of these now ancient machines. It was great for about a month, now it wont work. I am fairly sure there is a short in the charger, but Im not sure. There is no power. Customer support was no help.

Does anyone have a suggestion, similiar problem, or know where I can find another charger?

Thanks

Did you buy it new? If so I'd be sending it back to whence it came. When you say charger I assume you mean Power Adaptor as SR16 cannot run on batteries (I believe the new SR18 can however - yes, I am tempted). If not you should be able to pick up a replacement PSU online - I'd suggest googling the part no. or even look on eBay.

I've been using SR16s for 10 years and the only problem I've had was the backup cell ran dry after about 3 years and then had to be replaced quite regularly after that (not a problem if you make backups). I actually sold the first unit 6 months ago and replaced it with a Zoom MRT3 then a Boss DR3. Probably one of the worst gear decisions I've ever made as we ended up buying a brand new SR16 a few months later!

:DYea, verily::rolleyes:

"BETTER YET," buy a Boss 880 drum box. I know they cost a few pezzutos but the patches are really vibrant, clear, and lots of funk stuff to kick up some jams.

The 880 also has a bass line for each patch; you can change the key of any patch; you can let your guitar player/bass player, plug into the drum box and join/jam/do a track or two. And, if you are ambitious, you can write your own drum patches.

You can elect to use the bass line or turn it off and put in your own bass line.

I have an SR16 sitting in the limbo room, as well as a Yam drum box. I don't sell BOSS or any other gear. The 880 is a pretty good box to investigate and use.
