Alesis SR 16 and Octapad

Hi

I have an Alesis SR 16 and An Alesis Octapad.

Midi is working.....
But I only get one drum set on the octapads.
Per SR 16 instructions I can change sets on the finger pads just not on the Octapad. IE: When on the Octapad changing sounds within a set is possible but all sets are the same? All other pad settings for velocity, sensitivity, etc work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The octapad is probably sending the same midi notes to the SR16. Have you tried changing the active drum kit on the SR16?

I've got a similar set up with a Boss DR770 and a drumkat DK10, and I have to change the drum kit on the DR770 to get different sounds.

I thought I had it changed on the SR 16. IE: I was able to play the finger pads on the sr 16 and it is changing to different sets. The Octapad just never changes when I change the SR 16. Its always stuck to the one set.
