I just wondered if anyone had either of these units, if they made a positive difference in the final product, and which would have the bigger impact on the sound?

Do a search on this BBS for the word "Masterlink" and you should get a lot of info on it...(try this link - https://homerecording.com/bbs/searc...ctname=yes&action=dosearch&getdaily=&pagenum= - there's at least 65 links)........
I don't use the Finalizer so I can't comment specifically on it - the unit CAN make a big impact on your sound -- mostly a negative one since it's real easy to overdo it...........
