I've used an alesis micron, which I bought refurbished, for 4 years with no problems. I was using it last week with no problems. Today, I came home to play it for the first time in a few days to discover that it emits a loud buzzing noise out of the right channel and nothing at all out of the left. The synthesizer sounds are barely audible over the buzzing. The volume control has no effect on the buzz, and the problem even exists via the headphone output. Anyone have any advice? Should I just give up and have it serviced? Any help would be appreciated.

Are all the sliders and knobs set all the way to the left?

I had the same problem happen to me last night.I turned on the Micron and the R audio out was noisy..I did a factory restore and it fixed it.Don't know what the problem was but it scared the ish out of me....

(from the manual)
Restoring the Factory Defaults
You can restore the Micron to its factory default state at any time.
Turn the Micron off. Then, hold down the [programs], [setups],
and [octave down] buttons and turn the Micron back on again.
