I've been running my Alesis IO/26 since January with no problems as far as dropouts etc are concerned (once I'd bought a new computer that is). Now I am geting a horribly frustrating issue all of a sudden...
The firewire is connected up as usual, nothing has changed as far as settings goes, but when I start Cubase SX, nine times out of ten it now tells me "The Audio engine could not be started". If it doesn't give me that, when I open a project it comes up with "The ASIO driver could not be initialized". I'm confused as to why this is suddenly becoming an issue, can anyone help?
