Alesis IO|14 Driver issue (OS X)

Hi, i'm having trouble with my Alesis firewire audio device. i go to play something and the device doesn't show anything on the meters. i've uninstalled the driver and downloaded the new one from the Alesis website and it worked for about 3 mins, it worked in logic safari itunes etc but it just cut out. tried again to reinstall the driver but this time no luck.


any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I'm having the same issue and have emailed Alesis twice about it to no avail.
I updated to that latest driver they put out in March and it has done nothing but cause HORRIBLE issues. I've uninstalled it and instead use the one before it which STILL screws up some times but nowhere near as much as the newest version. So maybe try getting rid of the new one and go back to the version before it, or better yet, PLEASE EMAIL ALESIS about it so they know their stuff is screwing up and hopefully they'll have an update some time soon. I'm thinking they'd be a lot more motivated to update something if their customers are bugging them about it ;)
