Alesis DM Pro module (your opinion?)

Has anyone used this? I have a Hart Virtuoso electronic set on the way and I'm trying to choose the best module at a decent price. I've seen some old DM Pro models pretty cheap used, but I 'd like to hear a first hand opinion if possible. From what I've read the only real con I can see is that some of the samples have effects built right into them, so you can't ever record the original dry sound.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!


[Note: yes, acoustic drums are better, but I don't want to get evicted from my apartment!]
