hi

I want to connect my alesis d4 drum module to my computer by midi for either cakewalk or protools to recognize so i can put triggers in and use it to trigger drum sounds.I have the drum mudule and the roland um-1 device is there any way that it can be recognised or is that not
possible

thanks

Plug your triggers into the trigger inputs on the D4 and set them up to your liking. Triggering generates MIDI data as well as audio, so connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI out of the D4 to the MIDI in of your Pro Tools interface, then connect a MIDI cable from MIDI out of the Pro Tools interface to the MIDI in of the D4. When you trigger a drum sound, you'll send its MIDI data to Pro Tools (when recording). Pro Tools will then play the drum module on playback by sending the recording data to the D4's MIDI in.

i have tried all that.protools recognises the um-1 usb midi cords but no signal comes through
