Hello all.I need suggestions or comments on these nicely priced pwrd. monitors for sale.Will use it mainly for karaoke vocal recording but will eventually on band recording.Any input will be greatly appreciated.
 
I used to own the Alesis Monitor One passive speakers....

I hated them more than Osama Bin Laden.

However, I hear the new powered ones have a larger woofer & better mid range response. If you want powered, yet cheap, I suppose they'd work. But do yourself a favor: Go to a music store and listen to them along with 10 other different monitors.

You will thank me, and all others who give you similar advice.

I owned a pair of the passive Alesis monitors; they were just, like, ok. Nothing special. My lower priced Yorkville passives are dynamic compared to the Alesis. No, I don't work for Yorkville or sell their product. I just like to pronounce positive words where they belong, according to my ears.
