Hey all...

I'm not really sure if this is where I should post this or not, but I wanted to let everyone know that my band's album is finally out at http://www.grassrootsmusic.com/artist/justwilliam/justwilliam1

Thanks to all here who listened to samples and such as we were making it.

Now I just have to sell enough of these things to pay back all I spent... never gonna happen :)

yeah, you'll probably get flamed by someone here but that is a very good song imo. One of the best things i've heard on this site.

Wow... thanks for the compliment. The record distributor picked that song as well for their compilation CD... it goes to several thousand radio and promotional markets... I hope others like it as well (because that's they only way we will get airplay :))

August 12 is the ship date from their site... the discs are done etc, so that is why they are offering them for sale already. National release date (for store fronts) is Sept. 23.

The other guy in the band that writes songs with me and I are starting a new project this month too... one that will be a little different than the band project.

It's about time! Congrats on the album being finished.. Now I can hear them in there full beauty and not their squashed mediocrity! :D They are still good squashed though..

Yeah yeah... hopefully the album sounds a little clearer than the MP3's :) Now I just have to get everyone to buy one... I need to sell about 400 of them to break even :)

I listened to a few of the tracks. Over Myself is the kind of song that, with the right producer, get you signed IMHO. I know we usually talk about the recoring here but I'd like to comment on this song as a pop tune. It's well constructed, good hook, real nice harmonies. If anything a good producer would tighted up the arrangement. Shop that tune, I think it's that good.

Well, count me in! I first heard your songs when I was just getting into SERIOUS recording and it was a huge inspiration. It seems like you said you tracked alot of this in your home?


BTW... I love Rosalie! It reminds me a little of some of Stone Temple Pilots later stuff.. Excellent! I hope you guys kick A@# with this album!

Yeah... I tracked and mixed 100% of the album. All the drums were tracked at my parent's house (they have a huge stone/concrete basement that just seems to work for drums). The guitars/keys/bass/vocals etc were all done at my house in various rooms.
