Ok, I'm thinking about buying the motu 1224 for around $500 used, but I might not need all of those channels. On the other hand, I could buy a lucid a/d 96k converter and an maudio dio 2496 card to go with it and have it all come to ~$950. Is it worth twice the dough to only have two channels? Or would a motu 1224 and a lucid 96k clock beat the other option? I know many people here believe in the "you get what you pay for" saying, so I really just want to know is, are two channels of lucid twice as good as 8 channels of motu (since that is what the price dictates)?
