I hope that we all can forget the last few weeks and get on to clean up the Mic forum. Its going to be different for now on I hope. I think that we are all in agreement that this forum had evolved into an ugly place that satan himself wouldnt see fit to post in.


This thread is going to be our way of saying that we all are your friends and never intended to hurt or injure anyones feelings or reputations.

Alan,I can't and won't apoligize for anyone.Regardless of whether you decide to return,it must be apparent to you that you have many,many supporters here that welcome your input.I can only guess how it must feel to be constantly put on the defensive but do keep in mind that the majority of people here consider you a very valuable member of this forum.We will definately be the losers if you don't return,but I for one can understand your perspective.Whatever you decide you are cool in my book and I appreciate the help that you have given me.

About recording, I have learned soley from this site, and mostly hear in the mic forum. And not to sound cocky, but my stuff is really starting to sound good. If it was any of you folk's intention to make better recording engineers by being on this forum and spreading your knowledge, it is working and it is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, us who are learning and gleaning this info, do not have as big of mouths and don't respond as much as those who like to critisize. But we are out here and learning and your wisdom is much appreciated.

Actually, I think that the collective "we" of this site and forum are more than worthy. This site is an amazing resource and it is a shame that we have different views of who is an asset and who is not.

Sometimes I forget that there are thousands of people who read this site without posting. This is one of the most amazing recording resources on the net, and its a shame that the natural differing of opinions on the part of relatively few people has had an impact on so many.

Funny part is, I think that everyone involved really had the best interests of the site in mind. Who's right? Who knows. I just wish that somewhere along the line boys were taught to play nice.

I am one of the thousands who have been studying from here. I have learned a great deal that has helped me to improve my sounds also. I really appreciate the input from the few guys who truly know what they are talking about. I haven't really perceived a lot of "spamming" here. The people who post here who also sell a product have a very valuable part to play in the discussions, in my opinion. I don't post much because I have little to say. You can tell who to listen to and who knows their stuff by the attitude of the poster - you can observe the maturity level. People like Harvey and a few others have no need to argue and moan and accuse and whine because they have aged and are established in their positions and have little to prove. I personally hope the issues can be resolved and the dialogue can be raised to a useful level once again. In my experience though, I have never been in a chat place or bbs where this has not happened. There is, in every square inch of the earth, I believe, an arrogant soul who cannot stand peace - who must assert his or her ignorance to an astounding degree. May I say to Harvey and to Alan and any other person who takes the time to speak (write) here: I truly enjoy the impartation of the accumulated knowledge and the manner in which you give it. Thank you. I would suffer loss if these gentlemen stopped posting here. I will now crawl back into my cave and be silent once again. Elvis has left the building.
