I have narrowed it down to these 3 mics -
AKG Perception 420
Rode NT1-A
Audio Technica AT 2050

The main use would be recording one person's voice with one or two accompanying string(guitar, violin) or air instruments(harmonica, accordian). Any comments from you guys on these mics would help me make a decision.
Thanks!

In the sub-$300 market, you're probably not really going to tell much difference.
And depending on the sonic quality of your room and rest of the equipment, you're probably not really going to tell much difference.

I am a big fan of rode mics, however the Akg and the audio technica that you listed are both multi pattern, which the nt1-a isn't, which could be handy.
