AKG or RODE NT1 ???

I'm doing a lot of recording in my living room basically and am looking for a good all round inexpensive large diaphram mic.

I've been looking into the Rode Nt1 and Akg 3000B. Is there much difference between these 2 mic's and what are some of your suggestions.
