Akg Drum Package?? Worth It??

I'm wondering if i should get the AKG drum package that has:

D112
C418 X 3
C419

the lowest price i saw was 500 new.

i already have a sm57 for the snare.
i have a 7 piece set with lots of cymbals on a pearl optimount.
already have 2 sm 94's for over heads

i would use the 418's and the 419 for toms.....maybe get another mic for the floor tom....
what would you guys recommend.

also, is there a better price out there or a better deal?

The d112 is a great kick mic, one of the best. I have never tried the tom mics in that package (they are the clip-ons, right?). But, I think for $500 bucks you could do better. A new d112 will cost around $220, and 3 sm57 mics will cost around $240. So for the same price you get three toms mics that are very well regarded and are industry standards. The downside is that youd need to also buy some kind of mount for the 57s.

You should also check out some Radio Shack tom mics. Yes, most RS mics are crap. But there is a tom mic that lots of folks here have recently tried and have good comments on. They are clip-ons, and only cost $30 each. Run a search and you'll find lots of recnet posts about these mics. All the comments I have read are very positive.
