Akg C214

i got one but not for anything less than a new one. Deal?

Well, on that basis, I expect you could get it for less at Full Compass if you call. Still, a used C414B-ULS goes for @$500 or so. IMHO, it's a pretty hard sell to lay out the same money for a new C214. I haven't yet seen a used C214 up for sale so I don't know how substantial a discount one can get buying used.
 
I expect any comparison would have to take into account the model of C414, since there are a myriad of models, each sounding a bit different.

Let's start with C414B-ULS, then go from there.

Or which of the C414 variations does the C214 most sound like.
 
That's good. The B-ULS model is one I have used and actually like. A good point of reference for me. I suppose the problem we will have is finding someone that has both. I'm not sure why you would buy a C214 if you already have a C414.

No :eek: , I was wanting someone to compare it to the B-ULS model.

But if it does not sound like that one, which of the models does it sound like.

Actually I'm agreeing with you.

I'd like to see a comparison between the C414B-ULS and the C214 because of all the various C414 models, the B-ULS is the one I know the best and like the best.

I was just wondering how likely it was going to be that someone would own both a C414B-ULS and a C214.
 
I've got a B-ULS, but I'm not about to get a 214, for the obvious reasons. I'm Houston, TX, so if anyone in the area has a 214 and 30 minutes, I could maybe drop by.
 
I have one, it sounds pretty good in my opinion. But I don't have a 414 to compare it to. Hopefully this band I'm recording g will finish Vox soon and I'll post some clips. I used on on guitar too and I think it soy red pretty sweet.
