Akg c1000s vs Rode NT1-A

Hi guys, I have an AKG 1000 to record mainly vocals and acoustic guitars.
Has anyone tried the Rode NT1-A?
I wonder if it's worth changing my akg for a Rode, is it actually an "upgrade"? Or I shouldn't bother.

Yes I would say that the NT1a is a better microphone for vocals than the 1000 ☼YMMV☼

I have a couple and they work well for me when I ask them to do so.

I also have one that Michael Joly modified at Oktavamod and it is a great upgrade to an already good microphone.

Hey, I have two NT2's on their way back from Michael right now! Can't wait to hear them...

Have you seen those shoot out clips with the vintage U47 (or 87, don't remember now)?

If I could choose now I'd get the NT2a, because of the versatility.
