Oldbie
Anybody familiar with this mic ?
All I can find on a site and web search is the C1000S.
Totally different mic ? They look totally different, anyway.
I'd just like some detail as to what it is - electret condensor is my guess. Sitting in my bag, and played with it, but would like to know a bit more about it.
Hope somebody knows...
Thanks,
mike

the C1000 is a small diaphram condensor mic.

it does have uses, i personally find that it's hi end it rather tinny, but you can use it sucsessfully.

ive used it on the bottom of snares. i usually use a large diaphram mic on bottom, but sometimes for a smaller sound, the C1000 can work.

it's one of those mics which are good just to have around kinda thing.

I don't know what the "e" stands for. Design version, maybe?

I was under the assumption that the "S" stood for silver as I believe they were black originally.

Actually, I believe it stands for "Sometimes", as in they sound OK "sometimes".:D

I hadn't thought about the S standing for switch. If there is a version without the switch that would make sense. Then again it could be "shrill" and "sometimes", too. LOL.

Of course the original question was about the "e".

E is for electric. Boogie, woogie woogie.

From what I've found with the mic so far, the E stands for

(if the 1000E is shrill, you gotta hear this thing...)
