Hey just got given this funky old 70s mic. Wondering of anyone knew anything about these old beasts - what typically used to record etc. Cheers.

Mostly those sorts of things were for the reel to reel recorders...or for measurment pourposes on eqs with pink noise generators...mostly Omni for that use.

It looks very similar to SDC mics made today, except for needing a battery. I have an old AT mic like this, it sounded good with my cassette 4-track, but compared to the CAD e70's I got this spring--not so good.
