Not sure if this is the right forum, if it isn't sorry. I was wondering if anyone has tried this plugin. Is the tape saturation actually realistic? Was wondering, i'm just tryin it on regular songs from cd's and it sounds a little too distorted to me.

Looks pretty cheap and nasty.

Though sometimes there are some little rippers that are free.

Try Voxengo Tape Bus

if your on Protools try the Mcdsp shit.

Ok

Hmm, ok. Thanks for the help man, i'll look into Tapebus. Anyone else with experience using warmtone?

It's funny, cause everything I've read about Warmtone says that the dude above has the same response as EVERYBODY else.

Yes, it does LOOK tacky and cheap, but in actuality it's a REALLY good plugin when used correctly. I suggest looking up Caffeine's vocal process on Google for more guidance on using it.

Ah yes ... that one is what you call a "vintage plugin." :D

I would imagine that since the old days of the very first warmer-type plugins, that technology and algorithms have hopefully advanced.

.

Hmm

Well, since you guys say it works well and all, maybe it just sounds like that because i'm usin it on commercial cd's that I have, maybe i'm just not usin it right. Haven't really recorded anythin myself to try it on.
