AIDS’ (Let’s Stop It)

©2005 Irwin Byron Abrigo

(V1)
I am writing a letter to all doctors today
(to all doctors today)
making a special call to people everywhere
(special call to people everywhere)

(chorus 1)
Aids let’s stop it, can’t you see it’s destroying the world today
Aids let’s stop it, you better listen to what I say
Aids’ let’s stop it, stop it now before it gets too late
Aids’ let’s stop it, let’s stop it now

(V2)
I’m asking people from around the world to volunteer
(people please volunteer)
Let’s all join hands together show how much we care
(come on let’s show how much we care)

(Chorus2)
Aids Let’s stop it, can’t you see we need a cure for today
Aids let’s stop it, don’t let it destroy the human race
Aids let’s stop, you better listen to what I say now
Aids let’s stop it let’s stop it now now

(Bridge)
Too many lives it has taken, you cannot survive
There ain’t no where to run to, there is no here to hide
We must find a solution, our doctors must try
Let’s all come together and try to stop it now yeah

Iet’s stop it now stop it now
Let’t stop it, stop it now
Let’s stop it now,
(Repeat V1)

AIDS' what? What is it that belongs to AIDS that you're against? I mean besides the general ignorance (including your apparent ignorance of the concerted efforts of health PROFESSIONALS to stem this plague) and prejudices of this dreadful disease?

Learn to use punctuation and grammar and then we can talk.

The spread of AIDS can be stopped anytime you want. Just keep your dick outa places where it don't belong.

Well, it's certainly no, "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

Your simplistic lyrics belie the complexity of the problem.

Irwin, I think it's fantastic that you are demonstrating the moral and intellectual resolve necessary to tackle a problem such as this one. Impressive stuff.

Has anyone heard 'cover up' by UB 40? Maybe it was 'Cover up all your love'? Irwins not so far off the mark

From a songwriting view, the lyrics are not overly impressive. From a social message standpoint it gets the job done. Anything that can help to draw attention to something that kills hundreds of thousands is a worthy endeaver.

Damn right. You should hear 'The Holocaust - That Wasn't Too Good', a doo-wop type thing I'm currently working on.

A doo-wop about the Holocaust seems so outside that it could be very interesting. I always seem to enjoy when a song takes a sad message, yet is presented with a fun melody. The contrast just strikes me as an "artistic statement"

Yes. I agree. Also forthcoming will be: 'Child Abuse - Touch Not Lest Ye Be Touched', featuring a ukulele solo.

That is very close to my song "Aids (What is it good for)" and my attorney will be in touch.

Aids (huh!) (Good God, y'all)
What is it good for?
(Absolutely) (nothin'!) (say it again)

I'm waiting for Team America's version.

Aids! Fuck Yeah! :D

LMAO. You should dedicate a new post to dubious song titles.

I think I remember Irwin informing the site a while ago that his english wasn't up to scratch because he was a refugee from one of them loser countries.
