No, not anywhere near a RAMI flick but I don't have a significant other with the interest or skills he has.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIKtbyy3vQ4
This flick has some images done by Lifelyrics, her hubby & daughter Kayley. There is also video of Eric as recorded by his daughter Luaren.
Finally there're video images of little OLD me as recorded by a cheap camera sitting on the piano.
Audio should be reasonable - I've upped the conversion quality in super when going from WMV + 320 MP3 to FLV + 220 something MP3.
Anyway, have a squiz & let me know your thoughts - it is, after all, a learning process.

AHHHHH YESSSSSS! Another great video Ray ! Sound quality is not bad at all. It cool to see you and the others included in the video too!

good work ray... only problem is with singers pitch... at times seem way out to my ear...

ido1957,
Thanks mate - you're very generous.
dementedchord,
Thanks re the vid. I didn't get any feedback re pitch when I posted the audio & have to admit that I'm too close to notice. Hmm, I'll a have to come back with fesh ears.
RAMI,
Yeah, I've remained incognito for a couple of years but figured it was time I stopped hiding behind an icon. Thanks for the kind words re the vid.

rayc vid star

No doubt that ray is now the primo vid star.

Its nice for me to see him too after 30 years or so!

That's really a beautiful song Ray. I like the video as well. Nice job.

Song sounds good. Video seemed fine.
You have a tripod right? Some of the close up shots (such as zoomed in on the guitarist's hands near the beginning) were probably too shaky. The shaky camera is gives a "home video" kind of vibe, but home videos usually don't zoom in on a guitarist's hands like that.

Nice work Ray!
Video has a kind of dreamy nostalgic feel about it. And I finally got to see what you look like, yay! I dig the cello shots....;)

Joey :):):):)

Cool! The artwork is nice, but so good to see the actual people involved.

Is that you with the white gibson eb standing in front of a curtain? What a sweet bass!

And then who is that right afterward on stage with an sg? Looks like he's prepared for a football game with the black under the eyes. Cool interior shots...your studio I suppose?

Oh, and the sound was pretty darn good for youtube. Nice.

Good job and nice tune.

I started messing around with video last year, and it's a LOT more time consuming than I would have thought. I have to assume you get faster as you go, but maybe you just get better and it still takes forever...you know, like recording a song, LOL.

cool video mang. Checking out you and Rami's vids I am struck with the urge but lack the talent. Nice work.

ecka48,
Yeah, you're right Eric, I've seen vid of you on Skype & what not but this is the 1st for me. Sorry - I've always preferred non d'plum & incognito but figured I had to be fair: you're happy to show & tell so I had to fall in line.
dodgeaspen,
thanks mate! Glad you like the song - 'tis an oldie - having been 1st written in 1976 by the above Eric & I.
VomitHatSteve,
Tripod? Nah, sorry. The snaps of Eric are by his 11 year old holding a camera - 2 sets of shots - one close & another afar that I edited together. Shaky hand cam - it cinema verite' meets cinema tres tremulous. I'm sure the camera lass will improve. As for my shots - taken with a digital camera that was sat on the keyboard cover of the Joanna. thanks for the kind words.
joeym,
Nostalgia - what else is left for some one of my advanced years. Yeah, you've seen my scone - complete with flattop & rat's tail - spooky stuff eh? Imagine how the squids respond!!!!
heatmiser,
The old snap is me in '76 playing my EB short scale copy by Coronet - it was actually a really cool bass - recorded well (I used it with a band called the Teutonics when recording in '82) but it was STOLEN!!! The other is of Eric playing a REAL SG. We were both dressed up & performing a musicial we wrote in '76 called "Ethnic Banana". I think I may havecracked a secret with UTUB - when converting to FLV with SUPER - UP the audio quality!!! thanks for the nice words.
chrisharris,
It does get easier, faster but is still a slow process - It'd help if WMMaker didn't freeze so often. Thanks for the generous summation.
Supercreep,
RAMI's Rhonda fuelled vids take talent: mine take time. If the urge strikes give it a burl - your music is SSSOOO visually stimulating & literary that there's unlimited scope AND you're extremely creative anyway - just do it!
Besides I'd like to see the policewoman post stakeout!

Vid comments aussi

Yep the cool cat with the makeup unnder his eyes was me. Don't really know what we were thinking to be honest. inspired by KISS and doing the makeup thing??? hmmm not sure too long ago. These days I hide under my beard I guess LOL

The shaky cam was in fact Lauren. she was hand holding the camera and it was all hilarious to her. We had fun doing it, lots of laughing which is not conducive to a still camera, but is a good Daddy/daughter thing to do. :)

In the shot of me playing the 12 string I am actually playing a new song (first new song from ray and eric in 30 plus years). If I can get my act together it might be the Xmas release .....not sure which YEAR.

Time to walk the dog.... later gator
