ok i just got my firewire interface and i cant seem to figure it out. im recording using tracktion 2 and if i dont set the latency to an exact spot it just wont record. pleasee help.

What interface? What platform? What latency setting do you have to set it to? Have you uninstalled your old soundcard? Have you installed the latest drivers from the manufacturers web site?

the interface is a hercules 16/12 no but i know there is newer drivers. and im recording in 96/24

i just found a driver and it said it fixes the problems in tracktion dealing with asio.

If you know there are newer drivers go get them and install them --- that may well solve your problem.
