ahh.. another problem.. HELP URGENT

Alright, I have my stuff recording.. but.. When I record my vocals I can hear the beat in the background

Im using Sonar and the Phonic 1002a Compact Mixer
 
Turn your headphones dowm, and make sure they're a good closed design.-Richie
 
Tryed that.. even tryed unplugging the headphones.. The sound is in there.. and the music isnt coming in between the walls.. Im using Sonar.. couldn't there be some kind of feature I have on which is making them connect...

Please help me
 
What's your soundcard? Is it an SB Live?

Try opening the Windows Mixer (or the Creative Mixer) and see if you have What U Hear selected as the recording source. If so, change it to Line In.
