after writing cdrw 2ndtime,my comp can't see all drives any more

i bought plextor px 8432 install it with some trouble cos i had to slave it to the old romdrive
now the first 2days got along well i wrote 2cdr fine
the third day i decided to rewrite 2nd session to cdrw disc after finished it couldn't read the 2nd data
after some reboots it seemed to refused reading any drive anymore
i still can run s/w in Cdrive ok but outside of that is unrespondable
i can't see my comp so i can't go in to install or uninstalll anything
please help is there anyways to solve this?

my comp is a little old by now standard it's P MMX 155
and in the past it seemed to have trouble reading drive b4 this seemed to read so slow b4 it can see it and open my comp for me
 
Is the Plextor drive visible in device manager?
What do you mean by "Can't see my comp so I can't go in to install..."?

i just checked it
again maybe that cdrw got error on it that messedup my comp
after rest it for many hrs i just wentback to it
popped the disc out to check in imac and the comp seemed to
read drives again
i'll report the symtom again

yes i tried other cds and the comp is in shape except when this
cdrw is in!
huh i lost 600megs of data in this disc?
here comes a new trouble
how can i recover my data back?
