It's Too Funky in Here!!!
I'll just share a little secret w'ya.

Memorex CD2 C90 Audio Cassette Tape /Promotional pack of 5 / $3.99
High Bias tape formulation for superior recording and sound output from compatible cassette recorders and players
J&R Item # MEM CD2905PK

http://www.jr.com/memorex/pe/MEM_CD2905PK/

I just bought 50 5-packs, so I'm all spent out this quarter.:eek:;)

HINT: The more you buy, the more reasonable shipping cost is, and the less the per-unit cost ends up being. By buying an assload of these, I got my per-tape cost to 95¢/ea/total/shipped.:eek:;)

What will you do with this many tapes? Obviously record on them, but...what specifically...just curious.

I'm attempting to future-proof my gigantic investment in cassette format recorders, now numbering in the dozens. Portastudios, Syncasets, standard Dolby/dbx consumer decks, halftrack mastering decks, u name it, I got it.

Never mind that, but this batch of 250 tapes brings my total stash of new, brand name Type II cassettes to appx. 1500.

What's a guy do with 1500 high bias cassettes?:eek:;)

A lifetime or more of recording.:eek:;) Been into Portastudios for over 25 years, & hope to get another 25-or-more years mileage out of 'em. Honestly, my gear, tape and recording legacy will outlive me,... of that I'm sure. Let my wife & kids sell off the scraps when I'm gone, but my recordings will always be with them.

What specifically? Hit my Soundclick page (link below) for the awful truth, if you dare!

I'm right behind you in those #'s (recorders and tapes)
I too, have been guilty hoarding tapes and recorders in mint condition!
...and will continue to hoard!:spank::D:laughings:
...a generation or two from now,..these things will command a nice price tag.
Not just that,.. I do love the sound of a recording on TAPE!!!

I seriously need to get on the ball in regards to snapping up Type II tapes. I've got enough Type I to choke an elephant; use them for the car. Thanks for the heads up on the tape Dave!
