The XPC is an overpriced PC that does nothing special. Save money and build your own.

The 845 chipset is outdated to say the least. It still uses the 533Mhz Front Side Bus. If you're going with intel, you want either the 865 or 875 chipset which use the 800Mhz Front Side Bus and are compatible with the newer Hyperthreading Pentium 4 chips.

It doesn't even say what soundcard it has. I'm assuming its onboard audio. You DO NOT want onboard audio for recording purposes.

when your title said oc...i thought of oxycontin and i was trying to understand how that would help recording.....anyways wouldnt you want to build your own comp? its not that hard and you get exactly the stuff you want.

Like Brzlian said, the XPC you listed is way out of date, and it's definitely overpriced.

I don't see how those clowns stay in business, when it is so clearly just a Shuttle kit. For comparison's sake, I spec'd out a Shuttle kit with an Athlon for LAN parties yesterday, and I do believe it would kick the crap out of that XPC:

Shuttle SK43G $205.00
Athlon 3200+ $187.00
Mushkin 512MB DDR333 $92.00
Sapphire Radeon 9600XT 128MB $153.00
Hitachi 80gig 7.2k SATA $73.00
52x32x52x16 CD-R/W DVD-ROM Combo $52.00
Logitech Optical Desktop $35.00
Windows XP Home $91

$888.00
