Advise on Mixer needed...

hmmm... personally i'd choose a behringer over that phonic stuff, i'm just not a fan... Plus the postage is what $74 for that? I'd say try find something in the Yamaha MG range. It may push your budget a little more (depending on what that is) but not by alot. Just browse ebay till one comes up :)

Yeah, I'll look around for a Yamaha. What about the brand Alto? Are they as good as yamaha? or not?
 
and because i haven't heard of alto, i'll probably guess no?

how much for how many channels??? figure if it's 100 bucks for 12 channels...

that's less than 10 bucks a channel...and what do you get for 10 bucks in the pro audio world...

I've heard of both alto and phonic, actually alot of cheap brands, because the majority of music stores have all the cheap crap. Seriously i wouldn't pay more than $80 AUD including postage for that phonic mixture. Let alone the postage their charging is $74 AUD by courier, with the price tag of $129.95. Thats absolute crap. You could get that probably $25 postage tops without courier i've posted heaps larger stuff than that for much cheaper.
 
not knowing USD vs AUD....ill just say that i paid had an Allen and Heath GL3 24 sent freight to me...weight was 100 pounds, and it cost 60 dollars
