hoping that some of you peoples know my music from the mp3 forum, I want a couple of new mics. I record myself a lot, mostly overdubbing, using 57s and a 603s. When the gang's around I use 3, 57s and another Shure singging mic that came with my recorder. Now I have 2 more inputs, I'm thinking of getting another 57 and a 58. This will at least match everything up. The recording, as some of you may know, are all acoustic, and the 57 and 58 will fit nice in the budget. I am satisfied with the shure mics, and they seem to work with my music very well. So, I not sure if I'm asking for advice, or maybe where these mics are cheapest at this time. Any deals around. Maybe a chord and stand deal. MF has a Rogue boom stand for 12.99. That has to be a deal. Anyway, thanks for any input.

As I recall, you just got a Tascam 788. With that in mind I'd suggest a mixer with phantom power and some inexpensive condensers. You will be amazed.

Mars had a deal a while ago for a free cable and stand with any 57 or 58. Looked like a good deal, but I'm not sure if it is still going on.
