Advice sought re:Tascam DP-01fx/cd

Hi,

Had this model for a couple of years now,recently tried to compress vocals lnline using a phantom charger for phantom mike.

Tried using a behringer compressor but it dosent work.

However when looping compressor using send and return on tascam,compressor works.

However will this be only compressing all tracks or will it compress the assigned track.

If not how can you compress vocals on Tascam.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

it will compress the tracks that the effects are turned on i havent tried doing it but you would have to run the comp between the mic and the dp i would try mic- pre amp - compressor- dp01 skip using the onboard phantom
