I have been doing recording for the last 5 years. Not until about this year did my mixes start turning out decent to where average people can't tell the difference between my mixes and the radio (or so they say). But I still can tell my mixes are lacking something and I would love to get some advice so I can continue to improve.

The first track is still rough and is not completely finished, I am still working with the guy on recording. Any suggestions on the acoustic guitar especially would be greatly appreciated. If you have a suggestion for mic placement that would be great. Mics available to the person recording this are the NT2A and M3 by Rode.

The second two tracks are finished and have been released but I would appreciate advice so I can learn how to improve my future mixes. For these tracks the only mic used was the Sterling ST55 for vocals and acoustic guitar, everything else was lined in or software. I was the only one who worked on these tracks and did the mastering myself but I am not that familiar with mastering so I could be totally doing it all wrong.

If you notice anything I am lacking in technique or anything I am doing wrong please mention it, my pride will not be hurt. I would love any advice you can give me.

Listened to the first track, mix sounds pretty good to me. There is a little bit of upper frequency harshness on the accoustic, and there's some sibilance on the vocal, but those are easily fixed

How would you suggest fixing the harshness on the guitar
