Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a new compac mixer (my behringer crapped out on me) These are some of the models I've been shopping

Samson MDR8 8-Channel Mixer

Mackie 1202-VLZ Pro

Mackie DFX12 12-Channel Mixer with Effects

....any of you have good/bad experiences with the above mixers? any additional suggestions for other models you guys have are appreciated

thanks in advance
Gary

i have heard the samson is NOT a good mixer. But the makies are great. they sound smooth and have real nice pres. have you looked at the carvin mixers? i have heard some very good things about them. there mixers are real cheap (in price.) you can get a 8-ch mixer for around $250!

I like the A&H compact mixer. When placed in an SKB pop-up case it is waterproof and carries like an electric typewriter and has pres that ROCK plus direct outs on every channel.

I own and have used lots of Mackie gear and I think they make pretty good stuff for the money. If you're planning on recording with this mixer I would go ahead and spring for the Soundcraft.
