Advice on choosing preamp -

Hi ,

I'm new at this as in doing it myself, but i worked with most of it already i just don't know what to choose.
I'm From belgium and i have an AKG 420 tube mic, and a M-audio Track C600 - ( AKG headphones not really important )

I'm looking for a preamp, but i have no clue which to choose, i always buy my music stuff on thomann.de

Could use some advice on which brand to choose , share experiances ?

There might be some slight justification if the mic in question was an SM7b or a low output ribbon but that AKG puts out~ 20dB i.e. TEN times the level of those two and moreover capacitor mics are pretty much immune to the latest fashion of different load impedance values.

What difference does the OP think a pre amp will make?
