Please, just please tell me that's not carpet on the walls. And the foam... tell me that's not cheap flamable bed foam.
If those two things are true, you're going to need advice on more than simple placement of instruments in your room. If you're serious about improving the sound in the room, read up on bass traps and proper sound absorption. There's a plethora of great information here about that. You could read for a week and still not read everything there is.
That's my opinion anyway.
