is there any other advantage to having quad wrap cables other than regular tri wrap cables other than reduced noise?

and to be more specific i was thinking about purchasing blue quad wrap cables because mogamis are jsut too pricey

four times better than single and about half as good as octo wrapped

The BLUE Kiwi's are a steal at $29 if you can find them.

Virgin vinyl, smells like a new LP when you open the package.

"This "double balanced" pairing, reduces susceptibility to electromagnetically induced noise. The improvement in noise rejection is so noticeable, that even SCR dimmer noise (stage lighting consoles), is reduced to less than 1/10 the level found in other 2-conductor microphone cables."

Excerpt from Canare Star Quad description. I use Canare Star Quad for all my interconnects. It's really affordable by the foot, and comes in several colors. Solder on some connectors and have high quality, color coordinated, custom length interconnects for your studio for very little more than a mess of cheap black too long/too short noise sensitive cables. ;)

I use Canare Starquad because I can buy it locally for cheap. My understanding is that the main noise reduction benefit comes in longer cable runs (30+ feet) but I use if for everything.

Starquad is 39 cents/ft at Markertek. 20 ft of cable is $7.80 and another $4 in Neutrik connectors.... at ~$12 you have a 20 ft cable light years better than any cable from the Fiend, ProCo, Rapco, or otherwise.
