Adobe Audition 6 loading slow

I installed Adobe Audition 6 a while back with no trouble but now it takes a lot longer to load. It pauses for about 3 minutes at "Initializing Required Application Components". I have tryed reinstalling with no joy. Any suggestions ?
 
You might have something corrupted in your preferences file.

Assuming Windows 7, go to C:\Users\User_Name\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\

If you just use standard settings, delete it. If you have lots of custom effect settings etc. rename it so you can get it back. Once you've done that, then try a reinstall.

(FYI, the "Audition\5.0" bit is right. It's creative suite version 6 but actually the 5th version of Audition.)
