If this hasn't already been posted I found out what the fix is to unlock adobe audition 3.0 when it freezes.
It's a pain the arse but it's a quick easy fix. Adobe has looked at the issue and said they can't get it to freeze so they can't find the problem, but there must be a problem since ALOT of people have this problem, I get the feeling they haven't even looked into it. The build patch does not fix the problem, I've downloaded it and it didn't help on my end.
The Problem:
Screen freezes when selecting an effect and all mouse commands are disabled forcing you to shut down the program using the task manager
The Fix:
If your screen freezes, click on the adobe audition box at the taskbar, the screen will refresh but will still be paralyzed. Press control C This causes the copy window to pop up in the program, close the copy window and everything will be back to normal. One word of suggestion, Save your settings before you apply them in case you have a freeze up because when the screen freezes you lose your settings,
