Adding Tracks

Hey guys I have just started working with cool edit to try to make my mixtapes sound better. My problem is when i extract audio from cd to edit I can not track the cd. Do I have to work on each track individually?

I am not sure which version of CE you have but, you may be able to highlight all of the songs at once before the extraction. Try this by holding down the CTRL key while clicking on each song one at a time. Work your way down the list until all the songs are highlighted. If this works then it should extract the entire CD with one rip but, each song may still end up being separate sound clips. (I'm not sure, I'm just guessing here. Anyone else?)

Yeah that works but the problem is when I try to burn to a new cd the tracks are no longer separate. It loads on to the software as separate tracks but will not burn as different tracks. Instead it is just one whole track. I am using ce 2.0.

Guys just figured it out. I had the box which say extract to a single waveform checked. What a dummie.
