adding lyrics

it seem that you can only add lyrics below a midi note -? is it possible to convert a vocal track to a quasi midi track so that the lyrics align with the vocal melody
or is ther some other technique
 
Hey,

I don't personally use SONAR's lyrics, but I've heard the best way to do it is to play the vocal melody on a keyboard and then assign words to each of the MIDI notes. There really isn't a convenient way to convery vocals to MIDI yet.
