adding an optical out to portable MD?

Hi,

I wanted to find out if anyone of you knows something about adding an optical out to a portable minidisc recorder (a Aiwa AM-F 70): It has an optical toslink/minijack combo input, and I was wondering if one could change its minijack output to something like that too.

Short answer: NO

Even if it could be done, it would be absurdly expensive (i.e. more than the cost of the recorder).
