Adding a 3rd hard drive (where does it plug into?)

sorry, i meant samples as in sample library's. need lots of space for them :D
 
From the link you posted it looks like your board has 4 SATA connections on two different controllers. This is an excerpt from the second page:

"...2 more SATA drives on the VIA, 2 on the Promise SATA Controller..."

If you do need more drive connections two possibilities are either buying an add-on SATA controller or using external drives.
 
aha, it appears i can use the other sata controller for a single hard drive and dont have to use a raid array.

Could you use an outboard USB or Firewire drive? I picked up a 300 gb drive at Costco for sub-$300 and all it needs is a USB port.

i already bought an OEM 320gb western digital Sata drive for £55. pretty sweet deal :)

hopefully it should work ok.
