OK, I've seen a few admit to this. How many of us are in the hyperactive category? It's how we cope with having to watch 32 channels and focus on 7,436 knobs at the same time, right?
It's the actual
that gets to me. It is the one thing I can do and focus on for hours. Always was able to. I was the original ADHD poster child in the early 60's, but my parents got me started on piano lessons at age 4 and I could concentrate and focus for 1/2 hour lessons and 1/2 hour a day practice without problems. In high school, I used music to study. I picked specific bands to listen to to study for specific subjects. Then when I would take the tests I would remember the music and the answers were THERE!
How have we used music to overcome who we are? How have we let music define who we are?
