I always wondered about ADATs and DATs but never really looked into them....
Anyway, are they superior (ignoring converters) in any way to a good PC? I saw a rack lately in a friends bedroom which contained a 1073 and an ADAT - It looked so cool and discrete. I can image many artists, who write music on the fly, finding one of those kinds of setups superior to a PC based one.
What are your attachments to the ADAT? or have they fallen by the way side since getting a PC.
Are they still worth it, if you have a good PC?
What PC soundcard would match the converters in say a HD24?
