ADAT starting midi sequencer

Hi.
I went thru this post at google ( http://groups.google.com/groups?q=a...a693d9$0$10677$4d4eb98e@news.dk.uu.net&rnum=2 ), and looking at the ADAT sync cable pinout, I was wondering about using adat to start a sequencer, or vice-versa, a sequencer to stop/start my adat. It already has a MIDI IN/OUT.
Perhaps use one of those little boxes to make it signal my porta studio too ...
Just wondering, anyone using this port for anything else than sync'ing 2 or more ADATs ?

You can build a midi interface cable to control an adat. Go here: http://adatcrc.tripod.com/index.htm

I've got a newer version of the software somewhere around. If anyone's interested I'll hunt it up.

Thanks for the link, that was I was looking for. Some way to control my ADAT from my computer or sequencer.
If you got something more about using the adat sync or any other hack, please post !
