ADAT editing in SONAR

I am semi-new to the computer aspect of recording. I do however have ADAT background. I am contiplating buying an EMU 1212m with adat optical in and out. When I hook up the optical out on my XT20 to the in on the soundcard and into Sonar for editing, will this show up as one track or the 16 seperate tracks that im recording with the two XT20's?

Im going to bet ,not knowing that card, that it will be only 1 optical input, which means 8 tracks at a time. You would have to import the 9-16 tracks after the 1-8.
